Replacing a rusting metal manhole cover, I wasn’t sure it would fit or if I would have to replace the frame round as well. Turns out it’s a perfect fit on the existing round and it’s solid construction means it will do the job long term.
The inspection cove looks reasonably robust, and is simple to fit, however the mounting screws are close to lip on the stack, could do with being 5mm lower, but no issues so far

This inspection cover is of really dense plastic capable of taking high loads such as cars and vans. It is a quality item at a reasonable price, easy to fit as it comes with the frame and just needs concrete around the edge . Delivery was really fast.

Very easy to fit three screws hold the lid in place these are quite small & fiddly & can be easily lost.
The most complicated part about this purchase was finding the correct size I needed, but I found it at Toolstation.
Fitting was simple, simply use the three self tapping screws, that are provided, to securely hold the supporting ring to the mating plastic riser. Some pre planning will be required if lining up of the text on the cover is your thing. Once the securing ring is in place, locate the cover and secure it in place with the three black screws, that are also provided. Job Done.
I think the three Cover screws are provided to secure the cover in place because it is very light compared to cast iron. These may be a precaution to stop the cover being blown of in the wind or to stop the sewer rats getting out. They are useful anyway.
Sturdy unit that fitted well
Bought to replace an existing cover the frame of which was damaged. This fitted well in the riser piece i purchased and seems solid.
Shouldn’t there be a rubber seal on this like the risers
Well made and easy to fit . I replaced this lid for a cracked steel lid and frame. The frame screws into the chamber with the screws supplied, then the lid screws down onto the frame. I bedded the frame into 75mm of concrete as well . Whole job took 30 mins. Really simple.
