The Knipex 13 66 StriX VDE Wire Stripper and Cable Shears Pliers is a professional-grade insulation stripper designed for electricians working with single, multiple and fine stranded conductors. This versatile tool combines wire stripping capabilities with integrated cable shears, making it ideal for electrical installation and maintenance work. Manufactured from high-grade tool steel that has been forged and oil-hardened multiple times, these pliers feature a chrome plated finish for durability and corrosion resistance. The multi-component grips provide comfortable handling during extended use, whilst the slim profile design ensures easy access in confined spaces such as consumer units and junction boxes. VDE tested up to 10,000V and certified safe for work up to 1,000V, these pliers conform to DIN EN / IEC 60900 safety standards, making them suitable for live working applications. The knurled screw and lock nut allow precise adjustment to accommodate the required diameter of solid or stranded wire up to 5mm diameter or 10mm² cable cross section. The integrated shear blade cuts copper cable up to 15mm (5 x 2.5mm²), whilst the bolted joint ensures precise operation with zero backlash for consistent performance. Increments marked in the jaw at 11mm and 16mm provide a visual guide for stripping consistent cable lengths, improving efficiency and accuracy during repetitive tasks.
