Bought this to replace my old K4 that's about 15 years old.
The good points: It's much lighter and more compact; It's also quieter than my old one.
The bad points: The hose is so stiff it's almost impossible to unravel; the hose has to be disconnected every time in order to try and store it, except it won't stay on the storage section anyway: There's no storage for the electrical cable.
The washer performs well but my old Karcher was much easier to use.
Much more power than the k2 and at a great price in toolstation
A lot better than the 5 year old K4 it replaced which started churning out black smoke while using recently and it is smaller & lighter too

Purchased to replace a sixteen year old K4.91.
The positives:
The new model is much lighter and easier to transport. It's more powerful, with a longer pressure hose.
Being more compact and lighter, it's easier to store.
The function and usability is good. The two nozzles are substantial and work well.
Having the hose connection at the back of the machine and the pressure hose connector at the front is much more practical than the old layout where both connections were at the front of the machine.
There is an easily accessed cleanable water filter.
The not so good:
It's appears noisier than the outgoing model.
When activating the lance, the pressure going through the machine makes it move and pivot.
As it's so light it's easy to pull it over.
The wheels don't rotate freely, may just be mine.
The new style pressure hose connection to the machine now relies on a flimsy plastic clip, rather than a more substantial screw fitment, I'm not sure how it will perform over time, particularly in the colder months, where it may become brittle.
The trigger gun is longer than the older models.
The storage facility for the pressure hose is poor, it does not retain the hose well, it has a tendency to roll off.
There is no specific storage for the electric cable, you have to develop your own.
If you don't have a brand new hosepipe connector it will pop off the back of the machine when you activate the pressure lance. My previous connector was new at the start of the year but would not stay on.
The pressure pump does not switch itself off when you lose the water supply from the mains, a little disconcerting.
When using additives there isn't a reservoir, you have an extension tube at the back of the machine, if you need to move the machine you must move the additive container as well.
Overall, despite my small reservations, it's a much better and more practical machine than the old one and I wouldn't switch back.
Received Karcher. No packaging in box, no instruction booklet, loose parts in box . No warranty booklet. It looks like a returned second but sold as new! Beware. Have used it and it does the job so far. Wheels don't turn. I would have returned it, but needed it in a hurry!
Great bit of kit. The dirtblaster lance is a clever and very effective piece of kit. In cleaning paving it gets over the problem of Tiger stripes by producing a rotating cone of very high pressure water. It couldn't be easier to use as there is no assembly required. It's also remarkably quiet and very light for such performance - even I can lift it up onto a 6ft high shelf. Toolstation also sell it at a very good price.

The item I was given was not new, but had been opened and poorly repacked, didn't see this until I had got it home (shop assistant brought it from a side door and carried it to the car) so testing it and not yet 100% sure if it is faulty or not.
Much better than the old one actually cleans to almost new, good tool and good value.
This is the compact version of the K5 and the better for less plastic to hang tools from. Worked more efficiently than old K4 that had sprung multiple leaks through thin internal plastic fittings.
For he inflated price, over the non stocked fully loaded k4 which was cheaper but a hook product. It's fine. It works

Easy to use with good performance!
Used now a couple of times. Really powerful, has Soft to Hard nozzle and a 100% Power nozzle. The Soft to Hard nozzle was powerful enough to clean my porcelain patio, and used the 100% power for a rough finish brickwork decorative wall. I hadn't ever been able to get the wall clean with my previous pressure washer, but this one, with the 100% nozzle, did the job!
The only reason I gave it 4*, is because storing the hose is a pain. There is no way it wraps round the front like in the picture, it's impossible. I wrapped the electric cable round the front and put the hose round one of the nozzles. Storage for the cables could be better.
But for actual cleaning, it is a great machine. The pull handle and wheels also make it easy to move around.

I find this to be ideal and well worth the purchase, powerful with its 145 Bar of pressure but compact so brilliant for storage as well,don`t be put of by the design with its no frills body your buying a good machine without paying for the fancy bodywork.
