This pipe is very hard to bend so it’s difficult to work with
Thought I would try and be clever by cutting down on connectors by using this 25m of 22mm pipe, should not of bothered. Using this stuff is like wrestling with a Bear, not that I have ever wrestled a Bear but you get the point. Will stick to the 3m straight lengths in future. It’s so tough you could use it as leaf springs on a Land Rover

Great quality as always from JG, 50m roll was very handy for 2 long runs trough the loft and meant I could do the job with no joints up there out of sight, I always use JG inserts and fittings and have never had an issue.

Better Than Copper in Tight Places and no burnt surfaces
I’ve done a fair bit of plumbing in the past, but this was the first time that I decided to use plastic push fit fittings and plastic pipe work. The quality of the pipe and ease of fitting is superb but it is a very difficult product to straighten. It comes in a huge coil and no matter how much you try, it is difficult to straighten lengths once cut. There must be a technique for doing this which the experienced plumber must be aware of. Mid way through my project I decided to switch to copper pipe as the whole thing looked as though it was ready to spring apart.
Have used JG speedfit for some years now & quite like it. The reels are economical but not ideal for fitting in cold weather as the plastic stays very stiff & it does not straighten out. Pulling through joists or clipping in place forces it to stay straighter but it can be awkward in tight spaces when always wants to coil back into a circle. Best used underfloor or behind boxing etc. For visible pipework the 3m straight lengths look much neater after install.
