Excellent vice for the money, from a well known company. Smooth action and good grip, and easy to fit. Not a lot else to say. It does exactly what it is supposed to.
Works very well, much better than my previous one.
Feels good and sturdy, holds well, and its blue. I like blue. Perfect for a home vice but if you are looking for a vice to take some serious abuse you may want a bigger one
So easy to buy online and collect. After I paid online I got an email minutes later to say it was ready to collect. On collection it was so easy, the sales guy got my name and order reference and he appears in minutes with my order. This was so efficient. I will certainly shop here again. Oh and the vice is exactly what I wanted and it will certainly do the job.
Feels solid & good quality, well greased, easy to wind up and get good grip with the jaws, three securing points,
Quality isn't up to the standards i would expect from Record. Toolstation rejected this review as I included the country it is made (not the UK and somewhere in the far east)
Good for the price. Glides great. Heavy enough for doing DIY jobs
Very important that the flat hammering area is almost level with the Jaws, previous vices had lower flat area's, so the Jaws get in the way.
It has very smooth easy wind jaws.
The rotation bar does bend before the Jaws break, as I often use a long extension tube to increase the crush capability and my last vice broke apart due to over crushing the jaws
I was looking for a small vice to assist with small DIY jobs and vehicle maintenance. This vice is prefect for that and will benefit me I am sure
A good small reliable vice. Excellent value for money with no fettling required out of the box. Being a mechanical engineer by trade i am a bit picky about tools but this was a pleasant surprise.
Great little DIY vice, works well and seems to be strong enough for what I get up to.
Mounted to a home workbench, have had motorcycle forks in it and it held them just fine, also used for a bit of steel drilling and couldn't notice any flex. Decent little vice.
The vice you can get anywhere & it does a job. The guys at the York store off James Street are always courteous & helpful, nice guys
Top notch bench vice. Real solid lump. Needs bolts to fix it to bench.
Great product, well made would recommend to anyone.
Record are the name on the vices I have used in my time in the trade and bolted to my own bench at home.
Practical, functional and with a nod to tradition in their long history.
This is a just the right size vice for my home workshop, car, bikes, mowers and other diy. Quality is excellent, a solid tool at a very good price.
Awesome bit of kit. Ideal for what I need, repairing bikes and general DIY. It is rock solid, very heavy duty and easily capable of much tougher work than I use it for.
Perfect on my small work bench for small DIY jobs.
A well made, sturdy vice. Mounted on the bench in the garage it is perfect for those odd jobs where you need to clamp something securely. Good value for money and should last a lifetime.
