A good device for joints outdoor and where water is about. It is easy to build with the incoming and outgoing cables.
Used as repair to cable on electric settee ,chewed by puppy, bit expensive but does the job and saves a complete rewire.
I'd like to see how it performs during a winter storm, but it has stood up to cold and light rain so far. The instructions are clear, but do overlook that the neoprene sealing rings are now green, not black. It's also worth mentioning to the amateur (i.e. me) that the end caps benefit from the use of a spanner in order to really seal well onto any cables. On the plus side, it accommodated flat cable well and the inclusion of a clip, rawlplug and screw to fix to the wall was very welcome.
Good price for a reasonable quality In-line Joint, a bit fiddly but effective
Did the job as expected to weatherproof a cable join; although its length proved to make the join a bit more challenging within the limited space available.
I found this when my new washing machine came with a lead from the bottom, not the top, so would not reach the socket. This cable joint allowed me to extend the lead safely, knowing that any leaks or water splashing about would not cause a problem. It was auick and simple to use.
Hopefully this does what it is supposed to do as it is joining a large length of cable that is exposed to the elements in my back garden.
This was really easy to install and got me out of a jam. The actual connector slides out of the tube to make reconnection very simple. The terminals are labelled and the instruction are easy to follow.
Much improved design on equivalent product used previously
Easy to assemble
Used for koi pond UV filter light
I bought 2 of these connectors for a 3 wire roaming lead which I had chopped with my strimmer! Ooops!
They seem to be robust and hold the cable securely.
A great waterproof outdoor connector. Ensuring a nice safe connection.
Quality product at a reasonable price and not too bulky when compared to other waterproof connectors.
Screw got stripped really easily. Made one mistake, had to unscrew everything, then when trying to screw them all back in place one of the screws was just so damaged it wouldn't turn any more.
Had fitted everything else besides that so ended up buying a new one and having to redo them all.
Never had this problem with any other electrical DIY things I've done over the years, and have already bought a different box as I just don't feel like this one will last.
Can also be very finnicky, with very little space to work once you've got one end screwed in.
Not rained yet to test it's waterproofness.
Perfect for the job easy to fit so would recommend
It does everything it's supposed to. I'd buy again.
Very simple to set up and fit.
It works a treat and is fully waterproof
Did the job screws was a bit tight to undo but got there in end
Seems to do a proper job. There are reviews stating that the terminal screws are tight, well they are fairly but as has been noted if the correct size bladed screwdriver is used they present no problem whatsoever. The instructions are pretty good.
It's a little fiddly to wire up but ok. Look out for the L & N on the side of the casing.
Good connection when re placing an outdoor light as the existing wire was good but would have been difficult to re wire onto new light without this
Only slight issue is the inner connection screws were very fiddly and easy to drop if not careful on a cold day
A very simple way of joining two cables and creating a water proof joint.
