I've had two of these before and wanted a third. A bit concerned to discover from the 'Quality Control' label that it appeared to be seven years old! However it seems to be OK - charged well and ran for over fours hours on test.
Great product and easy to wire emergency lighting fittings
With a fire inspection imminent I found that the Legislation regarding emergency lighting on stairs had recently changed and my current lighting was obsolete, this is the only one that I could find at the time that meet the new criteria. Its very reasonably priced and easy to fit.
Easy to install and work well. They feel a bit lightweight and flimsy when you get them out of the box but you don’t notice that when they are on the ceiling.
Very good. Gave support to the light and a good cable route to the electric supply from the original light fitting. Needed larger spacers to get level position on ceiling. Catalogue didnt describe it properly, just described it as an accessory, but it was much better than the floppy silicone joining piece supplied with the light.
Got these to replace the old, dim fluorescent tube emergency lights in the corridors. They are simple to fit and slim enough to go on the ceiling without feeling you have to duck when walking under them.
One word of warning, they are bright, don't look directly at them when testing.
The lens is designed to give a rectangular pattern to light the corridor and they are far superior to the ones they replaced. There is an easy access test button next to the lens to allow for a quick test on passing.
In summary: Light, bright & just right.
Surface mounted so quick and easy to install. Small and unobtrusive on the ceiling. Just needs a live and neutral from the nearest lighting circuit. Low consumption on standby/charge and automatically gives a bright light in the event of a power cut. Highly recommended
