Strong well made and i would recommend them perfect for what i needed

These did the job with no problem. I did wind them on by use of a spanner but I'm sure looking at the quality of the threaded bar, power tools could be used to tighten up
Easy to use, also a lot safer than the single coil clamp, less likely to swivel around the spring.
Solid and I imagine will work fine with the majority of stock coil springs but won't fit onto smaller diameter coils.
Only suitable for parallel coil springs. Hooks do not protrude far enough from the screw to reach round could springs which have tapered diameter top and bottom

Thread bar could do with being longer, no room for a ratchet, had to use a spanner,time consuming

For the cost couldn't fault them, compress6ration is top strength. Metcedes van springs no problem.
As I'm still here to write this review, I guess the Hilka HD coil spring compressors did what was asked of them. That is keep me whole while fitting and securing a spring onto a strut. The hooked claw held well, the threads seems precise and the whole arrangement solid.

Compressor is very sturdy build and easy to use, just need to be sensible with the placement position of the arms. Using this has saved many pounds versus a garage repair!
