Fairly light to use, even at full extension. Cuts well, and battery life is surprisingly long. Just oil and check chain tension each time you use.
Great for trimming trees to open up the view, and even felling a 10’ overgrown fir growing in the wrong place. A gutsy, well tempered and versatile tool whose performance pleasantly surprised me!
Absolutely love it! Cuts brilliantly and light enough for me to be able to manage holding it above my head to prune tree branches. Only criticism is: wish the cutting length was just slightly bigger,
Decent product. Useful to be able to use saw without pole.
Surprisingly good, love the hand held as well as longish reach. Battery seems to last well for what I've done.
Disappointed there's no chain oil reservoir and have to keep applying.
Great wee tool .i have used it to clear nearlyb50 yards of shrubs and branches..One problem eith it and quite serious is you cannot purchase replacement blades for it .Toolstation dont hold thrm in stock and pass you onto another company ,Who kept sending wrong blades ( even when given all hawksmore serial numbers ) .Postage on rrturns too £8.50..Not ideal.Toolstation could not assist .So when your blades fone so is the tool .
It's ok for the odd light pruning job but the battery doesn't last and replacement chains are like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Customer service haven't got a clue either. I've sent mine back and brought a Makita one instead which is what I've should've done from the start. I wouldn't recommend this chainsaw. Spend a bit extra and get a more reliable one and the battery actually last pretty much I full day with constant use.
This is a handy little chainsaw. It needs careful use as it isn't a powerful petrol engined one, but used carefully, it can tackle some reasonably sized trees / logs.
Just as expected copes well with boughs too big for lopers
Unfortunately i have to return this as a metal part between the bar and motor has broken off.
This is a shame as it worked very well.
Good piece of kit but blade comes off quite easily unless you get the tension completely perfect
Looks good and versatile--not used yet as weather has been unkind for job to progress
Great product and quick delivery! Would highly recommend
Easy to use, quick to charge. Does the job bought for.
Have only used this as a hand held saw up to now and is great for cutting up firewood. Will be using the long reach handle later for some pruning work.
only used once so far to trim a tree, seemed fine, light and did the job
I wanted a small chainsaw and a pole saw. This was the two in one tool that can do both of these functions. I charged the battery and have used it twice with both functions, 10mins and 20 mins the barely was still showing as full. The battery charger is identical to that of my Hawksmoor cordless strimmer, but battery has twice the charge. Oiling the chain is fiddly, but if you only use it now want again it isn't a problem. I read reviews that replacement chains are not available, but it still should be able to be sharpened. There is a merchant near me that will make chains up for other (or old) saws where they are discontinued. As an optimist, I am hoping a replacement chain will be available, but as a realist, by the time I need a new chain, as with all tech it is not likely to be that which lets me down.
So far so good.
Just what I needed, I can't find another product similar anywhere. Well made and a very clever product. Helped prune a large tree, without the need to use a step ladder or climb the tree. Would definitely recommend.
Very good. Ideal for a home pruning around the trees. Plenty of power . Great batterie good reach for high trees.
Have used this over the past few days. So much better than our reciprocating saw which is heavy and cumbersome. We were given a stack of huge freshly cut logs, some easily 30cm across. We used a log splitter plus this little saw and we got through it in no time. We also have 3 large apple trees and i know this will make the pruning far easier. We dont really need the pole so would be good if toolstation also stocked the non-pole option
