Both work perfectly on thick ceramic tiles. Each bit drilled approximately 8 holes.
Cheap and gets a reasonable amount of holes before burning out. Better than the expensive drill bits the plumber had in his tool box!
Driil bit did the job perfectly with no problems. Would recommend.
Great service, quality item . Very helpful staff. Highly recommend using this shop
Used it to drill 8 holes in porcelain floor tiles, was 100% a throw away afterwards, didn’t last not sure but could have been because of the actual floor “concrete”
Easy to use. Good clean hole, Must have when drilling ceramic tiles
Needed to drill through 7 different tiles, this 10mm drill bit did the job, I went slow and kept dipping it in cold water to help it stay sharp. Every single tile was cut into perfectly. I would recommend, just go slow and don't it overheat and starting at a slight angle also helped.
Worked very well.on unglazed tiles. Pretty sure it would be fine for glazed tiles too but be careful ref speeds and feeds.
Great bits, essential for drilling tiles. Just stick some masking tape where you intend to drill and off you go. Keep the bit cool if it's a long job, but this is mostly not required for single tile holes.
It didn’t even make it through 1 tile before it broke
These are quite delicate and not ideal if drilling more than one or two holes
The drill bit was exactly what was needed.
Finished the job quickly!
Easily drilled through my tiles and very easy to use , didn't expect it to be this good , will definitely be getting a few more of these !
I’ve used the 6 x 60mm Glass & Tile Drill Bit for several DIY projects, and it’s proven to be a reliable performer. The tip design—clearly visible in the image—is sharp and angled perfectly for scoring and penetrating hard surfaces like ceramic tile and glass without cracking.
Highlights:
- Clean Entry: The spear-point tip delivers smooth, chip-free starts on glazed surfaces.
- Controlled Drilling: Minimal wandering thanks to the precision-ground edge.
- Durable Build: The bit holds up well under moderate pressure and doesn’t dull quickly.
- Versatile Use: Ideal for bathroom tiles, glass panels, and even some porcelain surfaces.
Considerations:
- Speed Matters: Best results come from slow-speed drilling with water cooling to prevent overheating.
- Not for Tough Stone: It’s not designed for granite or thick masonry—stick to glass and tile.
If you’re tackling a backsplash, mirror mount, or decorative tile install, this bit is a must-have. It’s a small tool that makes a big difference in finish quality.
A really great drill bit expecially for ceramic tiles.
Like a hot knife through butter, great quality drill bit
Some of the reviews didn't think much of these but it went through my tiles like butter, really pleased with it
works but did have to wrap tape around one end to fit into drill as the shaft diameter is so small.
Just the job- I'd never (successfully!) drilled a tile before and this was very easy. This was a tricky job to mount a new cistern and I had to use an old power drill on low speed, not a variable-speed as suggested, but it didn't try to skip over the surface at all and just cut straight in. I just kept it lubricated with water.
Successfully drilled through a ceramic tile that had completely defeated a standard masonry drill.
