Check the galvanising. QC poor. I painted it but if I hadn’t been going to it would have gone back.
Great prodcut, the cup i found to be a bit big, and it has enough movement to get a crow bar behind....saying that you still cant get it off
Bought this for my shed to protect from attack. Easy to fit, and then I painted with black hammerite smooth to make it less visible. My main issue with it is unless your padlock has a very thick shackle then it has a fair bit of front to back movement in the mechanism. I’ve been thinking of ways to try and limit this with spacers but not come up with an optimal solution yet. There is too much gap between the padlock hole and the back of the plate, so a thief could pull on the door of the shed and leverage enough space to get a thin bar down the back. Once I’ve resolved this issue it will be fit for purpose.
Just what i was looking for to give my shed that extra bit of security!
My only issue was finding it on the website. I had to get to the product page via a google search because i couldnt find it anywhere directly on the toolstation website.
