Good idea but needs design improvement. As another reviewer mentioned even using a 10mm padlock there is far too much depth on the staple so it doesn't close tight meaning it doesn't keep your door or gate properly closed and more importantly means its very easy to get a crowbar into the gap. I'm going to do as other reviewer suggested and get a blacksmith to remove 5mm depth on the staple
Not badly made, but the staple is too long, allowing the hasp to be moved around even when locked. This allows anyone trying to get in to either shake the door/gate to damage it - or get a crowbar in behind the hasp. The solution is to cut the staple off and re-weld it about 5mm shorter, but that's not something you should have to do to make it secure!
