I needed a new drop bolt for our driveway gates that were being repaired/repurposed during a recent driveway installation.
I wanted something heavy duty and wasn't disappointed. All hardware is very well made and proper hot dip galvanised, not zinc passivated.
The kit comes with a short metal tube that is to be sunk in to the ground (concrete, tarmac etc) to accept the drop bolt, as well as a nice cover plate to make for a neat install.
I can't comment on the suitability of the fixing screws as other reviews have mentioned, as I intend on bolting the fixing brackets to the gate with m6 bolts.

Good galvanised dropbolt. Shame the screwheads snapped off!
The Bolt is fine but I've never experienced such soft/cheep screws! they are hopeless and round off before any pressure is applied also two screw heads simply sheared off.
The drop bolt and its accessories are of high quality. However, the bolt guides are somewhat loose, they will rattle in the wind, which can be quite noticeable, especially if near your house or bedroom. On a windy night, can be heard. Many other reviews consistently mention this issue, I thought they were being overly critical, but the rattle is actually quite pronounced. If this doesn't not concern you, then it offers excellent value for money... IF YOU NEED TO DRILL THE BOLT HOLE IN THE FLOOR! you will need a 24mm drill bit. Product code: 67988 £9.98, its will fit a standard drill, even if not specifically designed for it... It's honestly a real shame it rattles so much as it genuinely good quality otherwise.

Bought this for our wooden driveway gates. It was easy to fit and works very well. Pleased with the result.
Very strong bolt, well manufactured. Fitting is straightforward but i had to use the floor fixing rather than the tube bolt retainer as I didnt have a drill with the right diameter to accomodate it.
A good strong fixing though and very happy with the purchase.
It is on occasions that I could have went elsewhere !
Good value for money. Abit of space in-between bolt and bracket so get a little rattle but not too bad.
