Used to secure aluminium gate. Original drop bolt supplied by Firm who fitted gates very poor, only 2 fixing points, so it broke in wind ! This has 12 fixing points (1) no problems since.
I bought two of these at the same time. On one, the bolt is dead straight, the other one isn't. Given they are solid steel I had assumed they would be straight out of the box. CBA taking it back as needed it to secure ASAP so made it work.
Not the best. The epoxy black paint is so easy to chip and start flaking off. This then causes black runs and stains. Buy cheap, buy twice. Need to get galvanised or premium black if you don't want stains on your new woodwork.

Good quality and easy to fit. Needs a 20mm drill for the ground hole if using the supplied tube.
Strong & sturdy. Easy to fit so does the job. The included screws were actually quite decent too.

These are quality items at a very competitive price, there is plenty of scope to adjust fixing positions to fit to your specific application. I used these at the bottom of garage doors with an extra long throw into deep holes in the closed position, then drilled holes in the fully open position where ground is lower to securely hold doors open too. I didn't use the metal keeper sleeves provided - I drilled oversized holes, then placed 25mm plastic conduit in the exact position as a keeper and backfilled around that with some sharp sand /cement.
