I ordered 3 packs of these items, which were supplied delivery-only. The parts appeared to be strongly made and were suitably galvanized. They were supplied with coach bolts and nuts for the strap, and coach screws for the hinge plates. However, although 3 coach bolts were supplied, only 2 nuts were provided in each pack. Also, when I came to fit the hinge plates to the gateposts, I realised that 4 out of the 6 hinge plates had slightly misaligned hinge pins, which meant that the hinge plates had to fitted slightly askew to make the hinge pins vertical. This was not a major issue, but it looked a little untidy. I contacted Gatemate via the website and promptly received 3 coach bolts and nuts to address the shortfall. Also, I was advised that the quality control issues would be investigated. Overall, I believe that this a better solution than the traditional bolt through the gatepost, but slightly disappointing as the Gatemate packaging describes these items as "superior gate furniture"!
Easy to fit, very good quality, fitted on a 3' gate
used on 12 foot gate. no problems other than when it was delivered the packaging was damaged and the gatepost hooks were missing. cost £12 for a pair of hooks as you cant leave a field gate unfinished!
