Light steel cover, galvanized. This cover has a rubber surround frame, we used it to cover a water main/meter.

This is a poor quality product and not as advertised in the illustration. It is not manufactured by Clark who make heavy duty covers, this is a flimsey poor quality cover
Does what it says and covers a large hole in the ground. It is fairly strong but certainly not for driving vehicles over. Not so sure about the plastic frame which seems to be inferior to a metal one, but time will tell.

The frame, being plastic, will not rot away like the one it replaced.

Seems to be a solid item. It would be great if one could buy the lid only without the frame. I have had to replace 2 rusty lids now where the frame remains fixed in the ground so new ones not needed. Ends up in landfill since locally large plastics aren't recycled.
Seems to be a sturdy cover. Like the plastic frame as I have had to replace 2 covers of a few years as the metal ones rust.
Good quality for the price. Image is misleading as NOT Clark steel, still a very quality
