Purchased this to fit to bathroom basin that had cupboard and shelf below, so wanted a compact unit to minimise waisted space. Fitted straight on to basin waste and does the job perfectly. Just make sure when fitting that the bottom section is firmly screwed on to main body of the trap - mine was slightly loose and dripped, but was simple to rectify by a slight turn to firm up the seal [ my bad :) ].
This is the second one I've purchased in two months. The first had an annoying drip from the seal of the bottom of the bottle trap, that I ended up sealing with joint compound!
This second one... Exactly the same, but again sorted with some compound. I guess PTFE tape would have done the same job, but really it shouldn't need anything!
Poorly made and poor designed trap that leaked from the bottom O seal so will be returning it for a refund
Works well, slim design, most importantly no leaks
LEAKS. DON'T BUY. The plastic mouldimg is very poor quality and the seal on the base is too thin
It won't seal.
Leaks from the base poor quality /already purchased a replacement
A very tidy bottle trap, nice and small to fit into bathroom vanity unit
Great price but seal played up and made the vanity base plim up 🙄
Cheaply made and leaked. Pay a little extra for a named brand.
This is horrible. Sacked it off and replaced with a Mcalpine version the next day. The trap cover on the bottom has a way too small diameter oring on it and I just could not get enough twist on it to seal. You would need the strength of a gorilla to get it tight enough and that defeats the point of it. Plus the knurling is so fine and shallow it just cuts into your fingers. The Mcalpine one is a lesson on how to do it.
Great customer service by David. I did not know exactly what I wanted, but David helped me find the part I needed.
Good quality bottle trap for tighter spaces would recommend
Sink was blocked, decided to replace trap and clean out existing one. Bought this, but had to return and get a refund. The rubber seal at the bottom of the trap is poor quality and I couldn't stop it from dripping. There is no washer to push against the rubber seal on the outlet. Replaced with a McAlpine. It fitted and worked with no adjustment.
Good basin trap not eorth buying a new seal pack for the old one given how much this costs.
Good replacement part at a very good price, service at store was very good
Not great quality. Do yourself a favour, buy a better branded product. The two I bought cross-threaded when being tightened and had to be thrown away. The McAlpine ones went on a dream.
Excellent value for money basin trap - easy to fit and good sealing washers. Just add a smear of vaseline or similar on the seals and water tight, no problem.
The thread screws on, but the male part of the trap needs to be inserted into the sink waste as it utilises an O ring 10mm down. Its IMPOSSIBLE to seal this trap at the top and the service thread at the bottom doesn't have an overlap. So if overtightened slightly the O ring pops out and it leaks there too. Junk.
Cheap and nasty. Leaks from bottom bowl due to poor injection moulding.
Rubbish product. I could not stop it leaking. Ended up buying a different brand which worked perfectly
