The Fire Mate intumescent sealant is a very capable fire-stopping product that does exactly what it’s meant to do — help prevent the spread of fire and smoke through gaps and joints. It’s specifically designed to expand (intumesce) when exposed to high heat, swelling significantly to form a char barrier that helps resist fire for several hours in properly constructed joints.
Does the job, easy to apply so works as advertised.
Bought for acoustic properties rather than fire. Ideal for the soundproofing wall I was to construct and cheaper than a lot of the acoustic sealants at the same BS EN standard
Easy to use and half price of alternative products.
Fire seal was collected in power cut. The seal was as expected but needed that weekend and staff went beyond to serve all they could.

Used this product for sealing fire board in my log cabin for protection from the stove and works perfect
Used it for fire protection sealing the joints of fireboarding under the stairs
The fire mate sealant applied as you would expect, really gave 4 stars because the purpose is to expand and seal in a fire! Hopefully I’ll never have a fire but at this time I don’t know if the heat mare works as it should!
Useless and so are the staff after sales is a joke.
And only response I was given, well I have used it before and had no issues with it and again check if it's in date. Well do staff not check before selling
Use this for sealing consumer units and other penetrations. Works well but can be a little bit of an effort because it’s every thick
