Festool UNIVERS SSU 200 EB-PLUS Electric Sword Saw with Case

The Festool UNIVERS SSU 200 EB-PLUS Sword Saw is a unique yet handy machine with a 200mm cutting depth.

Regardless to what it looks like, its not a chainsaw in the traditional sense.  Look at it this way, take the idea of a chainsaw, add a hint of plunge saw connectivity with a dash of mitre saw flexibility and you have this.  Offering greater cutting depths, mitre cutting, guide rail connectivity and a high-tensile chain, this sword saw lets you work with larger construction materials without the worry of a bigger machine.

Whether you are working with wood or insulating materials, the SSU 200 Saw will cut all common construction materials up to 200mm.

Delivering an exact cutting experience, this saw is capable of accurate cross cuts when used with a guide rail; extreme mitre cuts up to an angle of 60° - the integrated guide slot in the aluminium die cast base plate enables exact cuts to be made in conjunction with the guide rail – ideal for timber construction. Cutting depth at 45°: 140 mm. And at 60°: 100 mm.

Thanks to Festool’s FastFix system, the chain on this saw can be easily changed with a few movements.  When replaced, the chain can be tensioned without tools – just turn the clamping wheel.

Connectable to Festool’s dust extractors, this ensures that any debris from cutting is quickly removed from the cutting point.  It also ensures a healthy working environment.  The guidance jaws of the SSU 200 can be adjusted to fit the guide rail without tools.  The viewing window in the guard provides a clear view of the scribe mark and cut at all times.

The SSU 220 includes MMC Electronics which offers a range of features such as overload protection, safety brake, and speed control to ensure the best possible results in all applications.
