Tip snapped of when used for the first time. No nails , screws or any thing metallic in the timber
Too long for access? Normal ones too short? Just cut this to the length you want. At this price it is disposable anyway...
I have used wood drill bits before long for drilling in to timber
I wanted an 8mm bit for drilling a pilot hole in some wooden spur post I have installed. This did what I wanted albeit I didn’t need it quite as long as 400mm. Good addition to my drill store.
Drilled 2 holes and blunted straight away not fit for purpose
I needed to drill a 13mm hole through two thick pieces of glulam timber, this did the job just right. One deep hole isn’t going to tell me much about the durability of the drill bit, but no problems to report so far.
Had to apply a lot of pressure to get this to go through a 4inch softwood post. However, it did the job, and it was cheap.
Not the sharpest of tools, but it got the job done quickly at little cost. The extra length changed an awkward job into a simple one. The cheap steel looks like it will quickly rust, so keep them oiled. Overall, does what it says and is great value for money. Only consider something more expensive if you have to drill lots and lots of deep holes.
Super quality considering it’s so cheap! It tore through 8” wood like a hot knife through butter! Pretty stable too

Both of the sharpened cutting edges snapped off during use. Managed to file them back in shape and continue with the job. Only bought this drill because I needed the extra length
Needed a long drill bit for joist pipework this was ideal worked well and a good price.
I needed to drill through an old bt post. So at this price the drill was ideal. However, it made shortwork of the required holes and is back in the toolbox awaiting the next project.
A very useful tool to do a job that only this tool could do
