Good vessel, fitted the installation perfectly and was simply enough to fit.

Expansion vessel on Worcester combo boiler malfunction and an absolute pig to replace and would need boiler removal to be able to do it coupled with a hefty heating engineer bill. Plumber mate advised fitting this expansion vessel in the loft space on the return heating run. Easy to complete by a competent DIYer and instant result at a fraction of the price
Leaked immediately after fitting and after removal found the upper part and lower part were not even fitted together (please see pictures and sort video). Also turned the hot water a dirty brown colour which I can only imagine is rust on the inside of the vessel. Not very impressed nor was my customer. Had it replaced and fitted the new one which also turned the water dirty brown but the water hold with no leaks at present. The customer is now insisting on me to replace with a different make. 😩😩😩

1st vessle lasted 18 months then rusted through. replacement failed immediately and the 3rd is holding out after 2 days.

The expansion vessel was faulty out of the box. The schrader valve just turned in the top of the vessel meaning I couldn’t even remove the dust cover.

My first impressions of this expansion vessel are positive and hopefully its lifespan will be as good as its price. Be aware that NO wall bracket is included. I would advise you to check the pre charge bar with a gauge before commissioning your system.
When I fitted the expansion vessel it was clear that it was leaking. I checked with customer services and took it back as instructed but the counter staff refused to take it back as it had been used. They told me to get in touch with the manufacturer.
Before doing this, I contacted customer services again, who assured me it could be taken back by the counter staff abd is get an immediate refund. She also put a note in the e receipt to that effect. I took it back and was refunded without problem.. the only problem then was that I had driven 150 miles in the process!
Good price, quality part which is ready to fit at the next drain down replacing a 21 year old part.
Does what it should do! A mounting bracket included in the box would improve my rating

Boiler manufacturer wanted 3 times the price, so fitted expansion vessel on the system, also made it easy access for when this one needs repairing, which is not the case on many boilers.
I am sure I was just unlucky but it was defective and didn’t work. Bought a different one that was perfect
