Bolt ok but about 1 centimetre too short and I have to replace with an extra long one in order for the key not to foul the door jamb. This was my fault in not measuring first and assuming it would fit. Just a word of warning. The reason for two downticks is that the screws supplied are made of monkey metal and don’t survive contact with a screwdriver head. My good friend the electrician has told me several times that he never ever uses pack screws supplied with fittings and he is right.
The outer casing is strong, yet the mechanism seems a tad loose. In saying that they all seem that way. Of course when you add the price of a key they are not cheap but I needed white ones. The key thumb turn is massive, and I must ask why so big? If you leave them institute, they don't look nice, unlike the older ones which were metal, but the thumb was small. So not really over the moon but there again not unhappy. Like many things these they just do enough.
The bolt is good quality. Unfortunately the key has to be bought separately hence the 4 stars. Toolstation don't stock the key so had to wait over the weekend to get it.
Purchased online - the product in store was a clearance package with parts missing - yet selling full price online. What does this say about the branch?
