Purchased this in the hopes it would stop/reduce scale build up in a one bathroom studio flat. Sadly no difference noticed since installing.
Still get scale on surfaces.
Very good product. No more lime scale build up on taps and shower head. This is not a water softener, it stops limescale sticking to surfaces and building up. The minerals are still in the water but do not stick. My previous one stopped working, the green light was not flashing. I noticed a general appearance of limescale that made me look at the unit under the combi boiler. Immediately replaced the old unit.
I was afraid to know if the device would work, but a couple of weeks after installation, I noticed the difference in the water quality. There is no hard limescale anymore. Hopefully, after a few months, all the pipes will also be clean.
I’m a plumber I’ve not installed this one yet But I have had one installed in my own home now for a few years Believe me their really good “Do what they say on the tin”
This does work. This is a replacement for one that had expired. I had noticed that my kettle had begun to get more limescale in it, then noticed that the green light on my old unit was not flashing. With the new one installed the limescale is gradually coming out of the kettle. Just make sure you register the purchase for a lifetime guarantee, there is probably no card in the box to do this, so go online.
Does what it says. It stops the lime scale sticking heavily and softens it by changing its properties. So its easy to wipe off and less visible. The taps shine most of the time. This will protect your appliances as it keeps limescale from sticking with flowing treated water. Most of the people dont understand the difference and spend thousands on a water softener. Water softener completely filters out limescale (expensive) and this one smartly stops it from sticking and pushing it out of your house. I have a large 4 bed house.

Unfortunately we will probably never know if this product does what it says. There does seem to be a lot of discussion suggesting that they will be of limited use. Online articles recommending them or demonstrating how Wonderfull they are generally are written by people with vested interest.
Installation instructions could be clearer!

I bought this as there was no space to it a compressing fit, my tap water was very hard at 360ppm, I would say this device has reduced the saling by 80%. The shower screen and kitchen sink are much easier to clean.
After a few months, this has made a terrific difference to the hard water. It was purchased to compliment our new combi boiler but has work on everything including the kettle!
It’s easy to get this connected, the box itself is solid I.e. good build quality. Although I instructions were not very clear on back of the package.
It’s been running for a month now without any issue I.e. the light is still blinking & I can see some difference in the water.
Following installation that was easy and took 10 minutes, I wondered whether I would see a difference or not. Within two days I noticed the limescale on the kettle element was disappearing. After a Week the limescale was almost gone.
Water had a slight change for the better but did nothing for limescale. Moved in March last year noticed water was really hard so bought one of these inetially water seemed better but has absolutely no effect on limescale. Nothing comes out of the dishwasher without water marks looks dirty glassware ruined everything has white power deposit (limescale). Brand new, last year, kettle I have just taken out about six spoonfuls of limescale from the bottom could not be leave it. So if you think this will get rid off limescale sorry it won't.

The green light flashes as soon as you plug it in, without even winding the coils onto the pipe.Therefore the claim on the instructions that 'Flashing green light indicates that the unit is working' is a lie.
Therefore I have no faith in the other claims about this device.
Only fitted today so time will tell. Clearly I cannot rate any of the boxes yet, not even the product spec because there isn't one.
The hardest thing was fixing the unit to a unit under the sink.
I only just fitted it yesterday so only time will tell as to how good it is in reducing the build-up of limescale.
Good price, excellent service from tool station,easy to install, hopefully it will do its job- I need to wait a few weeks to see if it is effective
Brought this to replace an old water conditioner that was no longer working. It has been fitted for one week and the difference is amazing. Water is so much softer. Shower working better... well worth the money!
