Pretty powerful, being able to cut 5-6mm diameter branches with ease. But it is heavy, so you need the neck/shoulder strap, and it is quite top-heavy, so easier to work with it in a near vertical position.

Had one for 4 years and motor started to smoke, done many hedges and verge bramble clearances, battery life lasts, happy with einhell products have 7 batteries, all is recommended is have a few when they come on special offers and you won't go wrong.
Does a great job at cutting my hedges. A little top heavy so sometimes hard to balance but overall good reach and good cut.
A good product that is compatible with my existing Einhell Batteries. It feels a little flimsy when fully extended but does a good job of cutting our hedges.

This trimmer was purchased as an edition to my existing heavy duty professional trimmer to get at out of reach odd bits of hedge, It's as expected a little heavy when fully outreaching and won't cut thick gnarly branches, being battery it's convenient and not disappointing it works well and I'm happy with it. I would not recommend as a primary trimmer but excellent as an additional trimmer.
Basically good but the balance was poor,but with use I found found the best technique. Hence only able to give it 4 stars.

Affordable but very heavy, not super easy to control as the handle doesn't go up far enough, not as powerful as i'd like it to be.
Had a few big hedges to trim gor a client.Bought this as I already had einhell batteries. Yes its a little heavy but its a great tool.very impressed.
Not the highest quality on the market but great value and so far is working well. Much easier to use than petrol equivalent.
The blades are sharp and the long head with easily adjustable angle make it possible to cut the top of a fairly high hedge as long as it is not too deep. However, it is heavy and even with the shoulder strap it requires some effort to raise the blade end and lower it down gently.

This hedge trimmer was purchased for our community garden as we have a lot of high hedges and shrubs that need keeping in check. The hedge cutter was easy to assemble and feels very solid and sturdy. You can tell that is is quality engineering. However, that quality comes with excess weight. On lower to the ground settings it is easy enough to balance. However, at height, especially on full extension, it is extremely top heavy and difficult to hold onto.
Like other users, I balanced the trigger handle on my thigh to take some of the weight but my arms and shoulders really ached afterwards and still do the following morning. In my opinion, there needs to be some sort of harness for this tool, not a single shoulder strap, which is not very practical if you're a larger chap, like me because the weight / balance ratio is very biased to the cutter head.
The cutter itself is excellent. It is smooth, sharp and quiet and the tilting head makes it really practical in those harder to reach areas. Battery life was amazing. Using 3.0Ah batteries, on their very first charge, I got 40 minutes of almost continual use from the first battery and never used the second one (arms were aching too much). Therefore around 80 minutes from two batteries would easily cover our entire cutting requirements for this tool.
Good cutting length, excellent battery power but thats where it ends. The product is heavy, Unwieldy and very difficult to use in its shortened form let alone when it's extended. Wish I'd seen these reviews before we'd bought it. Wish I could send it back!

My hedge is 12ft tall in places as it's on a steep hill and I have to cut from the downhill side.
My neighbours hate noise.
I was worried about continuing to use ladders, so brought the hedge trimmer.
I have other Einhell tools and with one exception they have been excellent.
This tool allowed me to cut the whole hedge in 20mins, normally an hour it was quiet and did not disturb the neighbours.
Battery lasted far more than needed to cut 20m of hazel edge.
Pleased.
Dreadfully ill balanced kit. All the weight (motor/gearbox) is at the top, only "balanced" (not) at the handle end by the battery. Hence very heavy and awkward to lift up to do any cutting at all. Buy a trimmer with an engine at the handle end!
