The pump itself is good, but the float will regularly just not switch between on and off unless given an extra nudge - especially if it has been raised gradually by water. Given that this is for pumping water out of a basement, the lack of reliability of the float mechanism to trigger the pump to run is really problematic.
Does the job, would like is to deal with shallower water but still good

Great product, cleared 8” water in cellar in less than 30 mins, use 38mm flat hose and jubilee clip to attach. Almost can’t wait for next big rain storm. Quiet operation too.
Really good pump. Easy to use and it did a great job
Used this pump to drain my flooding low level yard. Mounted in a 50ltr tub which is fed from the roof down pipe. The float was set for optimum pump and stop levels. worked well during the recent storms.
Works well so far. Using it to pump water from our stream to water the plants. A more adaptable hose connector for garden use would be welcome.

Bought to assist an identical pump that was struggling on its own to pump out a flooded cellar, that was still filling. With this new pumps help cellar was successfully drained within a couple of hours. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent Product that was installed to replace an existing failed pump. Very easy installation and cleared the part flooded cellar in no time. It was so powerful that infact the drain couldn’t cope with the flow. Now working as it should to prevent further flooding
