This machine appears very well built and makes quick work of planing timber to size. I particularly like the sprung “ tooth” on the sole plate which means you can rest the planing machine flat down without damaging the surface you place it on or blades.
Excellent piece of kit, works just like you want it to.
Great piece of kit. Excellent, does the job perfectly
Easy no nonsense planner that works effortlessly. Light and precise
heavy if used for long periods.
the V grooves in front plate can drop into narrow pieces of wood so take care to hold flat and away from notches.
cuts smoothly and easily.
I don't often have the need for a plane certainly not enough to merit purchasing a cordless one. So I opted for the einhell as I already posses some einheĺl tools. The plane was more than adequate for my purposes altering me to complete the job in hand easily and quickly. The price and quality was excellent compared to other brands.
A great planer does the job well. A dust bag would have been nice
Good bit of kit. I'd have awarded 5 stars had it come with a dust bag
Brilliant, did exactly what I needed with ease. Would recommend.
Very adjustable and accurate planing. Used to renovate a high quality kitchen door.
Nice solid tool that did the job well. Only criticism would be that the large knob handle also controls the blade height.
I bought this planer to straighten the edges on some oak planks. On some planks I had to remove up to 5mm on some part of the edge to get it straight, so a hand plane for me was likely to be too hard on my shoulder.
The electric planer was easy to assemble ready for use, and comes with a long power cord, which allowed me to run the length of the plank.
I was very impressed the the guide kept the planer really level as I worked, and the edge was a perfect 90 degrees. The cutting depth is controlled by a rotary knob, and the scale and the depth of cut matched up pretty well.
I was only taking off 0.5mm at a time, but you can take a lot more in a single pass. I was a bit worried whether the knob would rotate as you hold the machine to cut, but it didn’t.
The waste is discharged either left or right as your choice, and can be connected to a vacuum. I felt that was a bit cumbersome, so used it without, but it can make quite a lot of mess. A bag to fit on in place of the vacuum would have been very useful.
Overall I was very impressed. I have a bench planer/thicknesser , and this produced equally good results and allowed me to square up three oak planks with ease.
Great planer did the job with ease would highly recommend
Brilliant. Really solid with a wide shoe and very confident fine adjustment of cutting depth. Already adjusted two doors for a new floor and I'm delighted.
Budget plane that does the job but without a sawdust bag makes a real mess.
Was looking for an electric planer this defy fits the bill, an excellent bit of kit. My only gripe is it doesn't come with a dust bag.
Bought to plane new doors and it did the job with ease.
Bought this having never used a planing saw in my life. Quick youtube tutorial and now have 6 perfectly planed doors swinging.
Went back to the door I was fitting when my old planer gave up the ghost and in no time it was up and swinging. What a pleasure to have a nice sharp plane again.
A solid product but slightly heavy. However, very stable on the bench with the stand attached.
