The legs are a nightmare - 2 person job for sure. The bolts have been over-engineered to save waste, so they are only long enough to fit if everything is perfectly aligned (which of course it's not). They just need to leave them 1-2 mm longer so you can get them started easily and to allow for some tolerance in the shape.
Once up it worked really well, easy to use, sturdy, liked the laser. It made laying the solid wooden floor much easier.
Storage wil be more tricky though. There's no way I'm taking those legs apart again after the issues we had assembling them. I kept the box so will remove the top (just 4 bolts) and store that in the box. The legs will need to be stored as they are - not ideal but it is what it is.
ASSEMBLY TIP: You will find it a lot easier to assemble the legs if you have a long reach 10mm socket.. The top bolts need a 13 mmm socket and are hard to get at from below without one (long reach not needed for those).
Large capacity to cut wide and tall wood pieces
Bargain price paid as I got a stand and saw for the price of the saw
No more make do tables
Ideal if using in a workshop etc but would be cumbersome if transporting -although 4 bolts removes it from the stand
Saw performs well stand fiddle to assemble and not very robust
Great product very good value used to cut cladding board for a shed project
Great saw for my DIY needs, easy to assemble. Makes really clean cuts highly recommended.
Good value and powerful enough for most jobs I am quite impressed overall
the saw seems really sturdy and well made, the stand is a little less sturdy but at the moment is doing the job
Super fast service ordered 18.30 and saw arrived the next day at 12 o clock
I purchased this saw and I'm very well pleased with it.Great item and for the price of it definitely worth the buy
Nice and cheap saw with stand that can do 100mm cuts if needed
100% - 5* Without a doubt.
Bought this as it was on discount and looked a bargain. The laser was battery operated not mains. So i was going through 2 batteries per day. I could never get it cutting square, it seemed like the blade would push out when starting to cut. Had a carpenter look at it and try to set it up, he gave up after 2 hours of fiddling.
The laser gave up completely after 2 months.
Absolute credit to Toolstation, they sorted me out a refund after they had no other mitre saw in stock and i managed to get a better quality mitre saw.
Thank you Toolstation Truro, absolute angels
Really poorly designed saw. Can't use my vac becasue it hits the locking screw and won't slide all the way through the wood. The Lazer gets clogged with dust every cut and hard to remove. Can't use clamp on the right as it will hit the motor. Hard to keep putting the angle back to zero as there isn't any dedicated notch. The saw felt like it was too heavy for the rails and it stopped sliding after a few months (einhell didn't have a replacement so refunded me thankfully)
Ignore the marked settings if you want complete accuracy, set it up yourself and it works a treat. I'm using mine for picture-framing, so changed to a finer blade, and it's cutting clean and perfect mitres. Good for cutting skirting boards too!
Saw its self in not to bad but stand is so very weak its nearly dangerous
Very convenient having its own stand and not taking table space. Does its job well but the dust collection bag is not very effective.
You will probably need to upgrade the blade straight away used it on laminate flooring and the blade struggled
This is great !! Really good value for money , easy to setup and use !!
