Only had a quick play so far but seems very good for the money.
You have to put it together but that only takes a few minutes. Easy to operate. I have used it to cut down two small trees and can say it done the job perfectly.
Rather fiddly to put together, could do with a third hand. Short lead on the saw push fits into the cable - separates too easily if the joint catches anywhere, and it will. Chain tensioning wheel and connections are horribly flimsy looking plastic. Again, fiddly to fill the chain oil reservoir. Also takes a very long time for the oil to work through the system. Oregon bar/chain cuts cleanly and easily, as expected of a brand new tool.
Time will tell on how it lasts.
Was dubious about buying this saw as was to be fair very reasonably priced, been a hilti tool buyer for many years but as this was for occasions limited work I thought I would try it. Very easy to assemble and the cable supplied was robust and fit for purpose and had the added safety of a plug near the saw that if you over stretched and got it caught it would disconnect, I thought this particular feature was a nuisance at first but the added safety is priceless.
Then I was all set up and realised you need chain oil so had to pop and get some but luckily very cheap about £6 from toolstation and did not need much so one bottle will definitely do you a long time.
I started cutting on the smaller branches and slowly deselected the tree, be careful not to try to cut to big higher up as can pinch the saw.
Once vi had removed the thinner parts I then started on the bigger bits, don’t be greedy and cut in one side and then swap to other side. I cut down 2 trees to the stump in less than 2 hours they were laburnums and up to 10 to 12 inches thick. Absolutely a game changer rather than a hand saw. Best to keep you spacing to about 12 to 18 as more useful for logs. Only other thin is make sure you have good access like podium steps or good strong access equipment and area is flat and accessible if not make it so. Would definitely recommend this brand. Also when I took apart after disconnecting from electric, very easy to clean. Came in a strong box but as we all know it never seems to quite squeeze in so will get a strong bag, perhaps they could add this as a bolt on extra🤔 Kev from west sussex
Great saw, cuts through tree trunks with ease. Easy to put together. You do need to buy some chainsaw oil with this as it doesn’t come with any. The only downside, hence 4 rather than 5 stars is that it comes with a good heavy duty cable, which is good, but plugs in to a Euro socket near the saw which has popped out a couple of times during use, this ought to have a clip of sorts to hold it together more securely. A simple Velcro cable strap will sort this out. Buy with confidence it cuts with ease and gets the job done.
Nothing flimsy avout this produxt. Well made and as good as my petrol chainsaw at half the price.
We cut down three big trees (two of them old dry trees) this machine still going
Very good value for money
I have range of einhell products all them are good quality
I recommend this brand to anyone
Used a couple times and all good ,nice weight cuts great ,would say every now and then turn dial to tighten chain as with lot of chainsaws can vibrate chain n get slack only problem I have is the extension cord to the 2 pin plug it comes with ,I found it easy to snag on ladders and fall out easily, know it's prob a safety feature but found it caught branches and when moved it falls out which I will alter when use next other than that saw is great
Bought this outright as unable to hire locally, pleased I did, it coped very well with a decent size tree both in felling and cutting all the branches and the trunk into sections for firewood, originally intended to sell it on once used but will now keep it for any possible future use
Excellent chain saw cut a complete tree up into logs over three hours with no problem what so ever. Easy to keep an eye on the oil level with the small window.
If i could find one fault it would be the electric connection can not be locked into place which if you pull the cable by standing on it for example it comes apart far to easy.
Other than that would recommend 100%
Cracking chainsaw , cut up old decking quickly and easily . Instructions could be better but easy to understand . Not too heavy to handly . Dont forget to get chainsaw oil as it needs to be filled before use (doesnt come with any) 👍👍👍
Excellent value for money efficient and easy to use highly recommend
Purchased as my petrol chainsaw started playing up.
Good power, chain instantly stops when button released.
The cable is the only main let down at its a very short flex from the unit which plugs in to a chunky extension cord, this kept getting caught causing the euro style plug to fall out, I wil at some point alter this, but a otherwise good value saw though abit plastically.
Excellent piece of kit. Easy to use for my purposes, but would not be suitable for major tree work
Very impressed with this, easy to set up and use , powerful - cut just as well as a petrol one - I cut up a fallen maritime pine just over 30cm trunk. The chain is oregon so easy to replace in the future. Good value.
Great saw, easy to set up. Very impressed after using it compared to a petrol one
Bought this chainsaw as the reviews were decent however I made a couple of cuts with the saw and then it started smoking , took it back to Toolstation for a refund which was no hassle.
I wanted a good quality chainsaw, and the Einhell is strong enough to tackle big jobs. I would certainly buy from Toolstation again.
First chainsaw, bought to take down some conifer trees; Easy to put together, the weight is well balanced making it comfortable to hold and use. Chain simple to adjust.
Great product. Really impressed with how this product works
