This is a good performer straight out of the box, and beats all other similar specification tools on price hands down.
Dust will come out. It can only cut on flat surfaces! The machine won't work if the wall is slightly uneven! The saw blade gets stuck very easily! The handle is not in the right position, making it difficult to control the direction.
Super easy to set up and use. Excellent product that does exactly what it’s supposed to.
For a budget tool this did pretty well, only disappointment was dust capture using the vacuum attachment, I decided to buy this tool when I considered the costs and hassle of renting and for me I think it was the right choice
Very poor dust extraction new titan hoover still dusty in room plenty of power in hoover very very dissatisfied used for one 12inch chase cant take back has been used
I was very disappointed with the Einhell wall chaser. I used this to chase plaster/red brick and plaster/concrete block but couldn't go more than 15cm without it cutting out. It is massively under powered.
I used a metabo vaccume/extractor with the chaser and found the chaser still kicks out an enormous amount of dust. The vaccume connection on the chaser also has a bar obstructing the debris, causing the chaster to regularly clog up
A good low cost DIY Machine which I used to cut lots of chases for electric cables and 15mm plumbing pipes. You will get a lot of harmful dust so the machine needs to be connected to an industrial extractor and run against a thin guide batten screwed to the wall to run vertical and reduce accidents. I use two Nilflisk industrial cleaners, one connected to the machine and the other held alongside to help reduce the external dust. Dust mask essential together with coverings. I opened windows and door then directed a fan to drive excess dust out of the house.
The cutters are pre set to their maximum width which was ok for my work. Blades last a long time but look fiddly to change.
To remove the waste I used a Makita chisel breaker in the side of the slots. This removes chunks of the wasre quickly. Just take it steady and the machine should last a long time.
Хубава работа свърши.Доволен съм.Накрайника за прахосмукачка не се закрепя добре и пада постоянно!
This Tool Turned My Easy Reno into a Nightmare
I typically have a smooth experience with any tool, regardless of price point. But the Einhell TC-MA 1300 was a whole new level of frustration.
I bought it for its adjustable cut-out width, thinking it would simplify my patio grout removal project. Eager to get started, I went straight for the key feature: adjusting the cut width. After carefully reading the instructions, I began the process to remove the locking screw – that's when things went south.
Instructions Wrong, Frustration Level 1: Deceptive Ease
The instructions depicted a simple removal of the cover plate – just two bolts and depth adjustment screws. Wrong! Removing the cover plate required three bolts and a hidden security button head screw, for which a specific bit wasn't included. Thankfully, I have a well-stocked toolbox.
Level 2: The Impossible Lock Screw
With the cover plate off, frustration level skyrocketed. The locking screw seemed to have been tightened by the Hulk. After an hour of battling with it – using heat, WD-40, lubricant, extensions, the works – I was defeated. The lock screw wouldn't budge, and all I managed was a bent spanner key and some bruised fingers. Disappointed, I returned the unit for a replacement.
Same Story, Different Unit
The next day, the replacement arrived. Hopeful, I repeated the steps. Guess what? Same infuriatingly tight lock screw. No matter what I tried, it wouldn't loosen.
Not Alone in My Misery
Apparently, I'm not the only one who's encountered this issue with the super-tight lock screw. Here's hoping Einhell takes notice and addresses this assembly problem by reviewing their torque settings.
Einhell, Can You Hear My Plea?
I never even got to use the actual tool! This experience has been a frustrating nightmare. Einhell, please fix this issue before it discourages other potential customers.
Cracking bit of kit, quite narrow slot but good price.
I have always wanted to buy a wall chaser and for the money this one does an amazing job. I used to use an angle grinder with two lines drawn on the wall not accurate and a lot more messy then using this valve for money wall chaser
A good wall chaser but the maximum gap between the blades could be larger. Costs less to buy than hiring one.
Bought it in January and 4 months later have used it enough to leave a meaningful review. Works OK with blockwork but cannot get through red brick without a real struggle. Motor is way underpowered and keeps on cutting out when blades slow down. Dust collection is kind of ok but not brilliant. Its a real shame it cannot handle red brick otherwise it would be a decent machine, however, this totally lets the unit down. Better to pay a bit more for a decent machine.
Quite heavy and doesn’t pack back into the box easily at all! It does chase the walls easily and neatly but doesn’t hold the hoover pipe very well so the dust created is unreal! Not sure I would buy again as would stick with an angle grinder
Brilliant if you are thinking of buying one just do it! The work and hours they save more than compensates for the outlay.
Worked great to chase out some block work
The chaser is light and easy to handle if connected to a professional vacuum cleaner it is practically dustless It is a little under powered but if you just let it cut at it’s own pace it is it chases very well. I do recommend a face mask and safety goggles are warn
