I installed these in two internal basement walls in my victorian house over six months ago. My neighbour also put them in all along the party wall at basement level in late 2023. They don't appear to have made any difference whatsoever - moisture levels in the rooms as well as the appearance of damp on the walls have remained unchanged. So a waste of time and money in my case.
Used these before. Have worked a treat. Stopped rising damp in a 1920s bungalow. Brilliant.
We were a little apprehensive at the beginning as to how easy using these would be. We soon got into the swing of things, I drilled the holes using an SDS drill and my workmate followed using a battery drill with a 12mm masonry bit to clear the dust out. Cutting the sticks was easy using an old hacksaw (as we didn't have anything like tinsnips).
We only did this yesterday so the surface has not been finished and I can't comment on how effective this will be, but the job was much easier thin we thought.
Only just fitted these rods so early days ,all reports they work to stop damp only time will tell so can't really comment yet fingers crossed.
Have used these before a found them easy to use and effective
Clean and easy to install. No mess and works exactly as intended.
Read the instructions beforehand as it’s critical you get the spacing right. These work really well and have sorted a rising damp issue that had been lingering for months.
Done the job required for a fair price would use again if I had more damp problems
Good product easy to use and will use again, reasonable price
EASY TO INSTALL, AND APPROVED BY BBA, THEREFORE WOULD HAVE BEEN TESTED TO A STANDARD
I’ve installed nearly 200 Dryrods over the past 18 months and they seem to be doing the job so far. Easy to install , especially in my house with lime mortar, by drilling into the mortar course, cleaning out the hole and pushing in the rod. Quite economical on internal 41/2 “ walls but not so much on 9”
Easy DIY job though with an SDS drill and much cleaner than the old injection method.
These were very easy to use, can be used full length or cut down to size if needed
Great value for money and so easy to use, You can actually see the chemicals seeping into the mortar and creating the new damp proofing. I have use the cream version before but these rods are so much easier will definitely use again.
Drill the hole and clean the hole out pop in a stick job done. Very happy with this and you can see it activate and start working
Dryrod damp-proofing rods were very easy to install in the wall just waiting for the results. I used a 14mm drill bit which makes it easier to push the rods in. If the holes are too small the rods will swell up with the damp and makes it harder to push in. Toolstation is the best price and place to purchase them. I would highly recommend Toolstation.
Excellent product worked well my client had the damp issue for years all resolved in days
These are brilliant. Stopped rising damp in its tracks. Will definitely use again. You can see it working as it spreads across the mortar line.
Old 1930s proprty toilet in rear has severe damp. Inserted 30 of these. Lets see how it goes. Easy.to.instsll just use a drill bit 14mm. 12mm is too tight for rod to be inserted
Excellent product. Can see the results after a week. Highly recommended.
Easy to use and improve keeping a damp wall dry , pleased with the result
