Tenants moved out of a rental property and stains that I thought were from were from wood waste around the bin was actually rising damp. Instructions were clear, easy to fit ourselves, can see the effects straight away. We just need to redo the plaster now.

Dry rods are an amazing development in the treatment and prevention of rising damp.
Do not seem to have made any measurable difference
I have a basement under my garage but the outside wall is to ground level the other side, my garden is raised 18 feet higher than the area below the garden. I've used the DryZone DPM paint and these fantastic rods. I hope it's now a useable space rather than damp and mouldy, time will tell.
That system is great and helps always.For first time when i was using - about 4 years ago till present day i have not any mould or damp any more.I really recommend that hot.

Simple to use and effective and at a very reasonable price.
Easy and quick to install although I’ve only done 20m of single brick internal walls so far, cutting the rods in half. No special equipment required although I think the tool for cleaning the dust from the drilled holes is probably essential. I could see the chemicals dispersing into the masonry over a 7 day period. 12 months after I did the first 5m run there is no sign of any damp. Hopefully a long term diy solution.
