The Dremel Max SC456DM EZ SpeedClic Metal Cutting Wheel is a premium cutting accessory designed for demanding metalworking applications. Coated with cubic boron nitride (CBN) grit, this heavy-duty cutting wheel delivers exceptional durability and extended service life, lasting up to 20 times longer than standard 426 cutting wheels while maintaining sharpness and running cooler during operation. The 38.1mm diameter wheel features a reinforced metal core to prevent breaking and a slim 1mm thick blade for precise cuts. Its advanced design makes it suitable for cutting stainless steel, rebar, threaded rod, copper conduit, metal HVAC ducts, metal door jambs, galvanised strut, and various other ferrous and non-ferrous materials including aluminium, brass, cast iron, and hardened steel. Equipped with the patented EZ SpeedClic system, the SC456DM enables fast, keyless accessory changes when used with the SC402 mandrel. For optimal performance and longevity, use a two-handed golf grip technique and allow the wheel to do the work without excessive pressure, operating at the recommended speed of 35,000 RPM across all metal types.
