handy little tool to check on suspected damp areas
Bought for a friend. Still in box. I have a similar item that works well.
I purchased this to monitor the moisture in some wood that had warped having soaked up some of the moisture in the room. Whilst the spec states it reads from 6% everything I used it on was 0% which wasn't the case. It's probably ok to use to sort the moisture content in fire wood but not much else. They did give me a full refund so custom service was good even ifvthe product wasn't.
2 scales, default is wood. Have to read the manual to set for masonry. Using wood setting (WRE) a dry wall shows 0% and a wet one 42% below the tide mark. will Show OverLimit above 42% figure. 42% wall had mould on it.
An economical way to make sure you're not burning damp wood.
The Draper Mini Moisture Meter is small and is OK for DIY.
Gives accurate readings. Useful addition to my toolbox. However, the screen is a little small and the instructions not very clear.

Great little meter. Had to look online for instructions as didn’t come with any in the box, but once I knew how to work it, it was great to take to test the walls on a property I was thinking of buying. Easy to use and quite accurate when compared against a more expensive version. Good for wood or block work/ concrete.
Not great. Would not buy again. Readings wildly differ in the same part of the wall.
It works fine but as a limited range for moisture percentage

It does not register moisture on a water soaked brick.
It does register on wood and my two fingers!!!

The device was simple to use and came ready for action. The info states that the results are an "indication"but enough to enable a conversation with persons wishing to sell services.
A brilliant and useful product. Easy to use and reliable. Small and fits in your pocket. Great for the price.
So tiny and compact but it is a really good moisture meter once you read the instructions in how to change between wood and concrete/hard surfaces.
Quite small, good indication of damp so did what I wanted.
I bought this meter not realising how small it would be. Not only is it easy to take a reading on either wood or brick surfaces it easily fits in your pocket. It’s quick to take the reading and switch between functions. I’m a DIY user and for me it’s perfect at spotting damp areas.
It is very small but, very useful. Just what i needed
Not sure it gives an accurate figure, it does however tell you if one part of a wall is damper than another. Also fits neatly into a pocket.
