Marks wood does feel a bit light and delicate though
Purchased on clearance for £4. Probably about right for the money at that price, not worth paying any more than that for it though. If you want a cheap and cheerful marking gauge then this is that but probably not much use for regular use. The screw had already marked the shaft where it was clamped on from the factory, this will only get worse with use and impact the ability to hold position. Needs a bit of finishing too, rub down with sandpaper to clean up and remove splitters. Lots of moulding excess on the plastic screw that needs to be cleaned up too. I purchased it just so I could pull the pin out and drill it to take a pencil so don't mind giving it all the extra finishing it needs.
I picked this marking gauge up for £4 at that price you cannot complain. The scribing pin was not square to the shaft so i removed it and re drilled the shaft in my drill press. And re fitted the scriber.Its very accurate now and does what i need it for.
Bought this as it was on sale in the clearance. Always handy to have, not used it yet.

It’s a basic marking gauge, and it’s made pretty well. I have used it quite often and it’s never let me down. It’s as simple as that, so yo don’t have to spend a lot to get a good product.
