Works as it should, good product used for central heating radiator balancing
Sadly returned as readings temperamental when compared with existing thermometer. Only used briefly as sometimes almost 2 degrees difference. Nicely designed otherwise. Alternative brand purchased.
Great temperature gauge. I used it up to 250dec C
Bought this primarily to monitor the temperature of a pizza over, which it appears to do very well. Able to register temperatures well over 500°C and with a useful backlight, it's helped me to produce great pizza'a while avoiding burning them! Can't comment on durability but, it feels reasonably robust so hopefully will last well. Also comes with a battery so you can get using it straight away.
I bought this, and it would have done the job, however a friend loaned me a thermal imaging camera (£600), so this paled into insignificance.
I got this to help me balance my radiators worked better than expected. Have also used it to check our wood burner
Counter staff very helpful and friendly, item in stock, so an obvious plus. Went to toolstation having checked online. Battery included, simple to use, just point and press trigger, you can recall last reading.
Bought to balance radiators. Unable to get the same readings twice on same piece of pipe; very wide variation 19-26-34 on same spot, so discarded. Resorted to two temperature probes taped on each end of the rad. Old- school but worked.
It does the job. I would recommend this product to anyone.
No amazingly accurate, but good enough to get an idea of how hot something is after testing it on my log burner. I bought it to see how well my windows seal/keep in the heat, so will find out more when winter arrives...
Easy to use and seems to be quite accurate, just pull the trigger and point the laser at what you want to measure the temperature of.
Press the trigger and you get a temperature reading. When tested against mercury themometers from -18°C to +55°C gave very similar results. A good piece of kit!
Does what it's meant to. Value for money at this price
Handy little device for measuring the temperature in cold rooms and seeing where the cold spots are, such as around windowa
after texting this out multiple times i realised how inaccurate this is, the concept is good but not when it doesn’t provide close reading, for example you take the temperature of a exhaust and shows 25 degrees when it’s clear it’s in the hundred of degrees
Very useful for balancing central heating systems.
Very easy to use thermometer which was ideal to balance our radiators.
Didn't work on chrome but I think it would have been fine otherwise
excellent unit at a very good price. Recommended.
Good wee tool, been using it for as a no contact measuring tool for soap making but can think of quite a few more uses around the house! Only downside is that it takes those chunky 9v batteries.
