I use these reguarly for drilling holes into walls through shutter wood frames. Long enough to not mark the wood.

Good for DYI jobs but too brittle for proffesional use. I snapped very first one at first use, second did the rest of job with a lot of caution. As soon as it gets 30mm deep, it needs to be pulled out every 5mm it drills.

Bought these to pilot drill through 100mm of hard wood to screw and repair a door. These drill bits were useless and just couldn’t go through hard wood. Ended up buying the Dewalt multi material 6mm drill bit, which was superb. Don’t waste your money on these Draper drill bits.
A good bit of kit Draper HSS Metric Long Drill Bit 8.0 x 165mm
Needed a longer drill bit to clear a gap in a 50mm ally channel and 45mm softwood and 8mm steel. These bits took an age and massive pressure to drill just one hole and then the end chipped as it broke through. Gave up with the second bit and marked all the 20 hole positions, removed the channel and used a 6.5 Minatour cobalt bit - which drilled all the holes in ally and steel and was still sharp at the end. Don't waste your money on the Draper HSS bits they are absolutely useless.
Fit for purpose. Still on the first one after drilling 'plenty' on holes. Still sharp.
Supplied wrong size, poor attitude on return.

Drilled the holes I needed in wood. No idea how they would perform in metal.
Did the job, needed long drills for pilot holes on decking frame construction. Perform well on wood but not likely to use them on harder material so cannot comment on their durability
Very useful extra long drill bits. Decent quality.
Perfectly good for drilling long pilot hole in soft wood which is all I have done so far
