The Draper Basin Wrench is a specialist plumbing tool designed for tightening and loosening back nuts on taps, basins and other plumbing fittings in confined spaces. Manufactured from malleable cast iron with precisely machined jaw faces, this basin wrench delivers reliable performance when working in areas where standard spanners cannot reach. The tool's design allows for both horizontal and vertical operation, making it particularly useful when working under sinks or behind basins where access is restricted. The accurately machined jaws provide secure grip on back nuts, reducing the risk of rounding off fasteners during installation or removal work. Suitable for professional plumbers and contractors working on domestic or light commercial installations, this basin wrench handles standard BSP connections commonly found in UK plumbing systems. The tool is equally useful for maintenance work, bathroom refurbishments, or emergency repairs where tap assemblies need to be accessed from below. Features and Benefits: • Malleable cast iron construction for durability • Accurately machined jaw faces for secure grip • For horizontal or vertical use in confined areas • Capacity: 1/2 - 3/4" BSP Contents: • 1 x Basin Wrench, 1/2"/15mm x 3/4"/22mm BSP

I bought this to remove a bath tap and fit a new one. Fortunately I read the reviews and I have an electric grinder so only took 5 mins to make fit a brand new ebb+flo bath tap

Had to file the flats down to make them fit the sink and bath nuts and it wasn't just the paint. Took me about an hour.

Good product - does the job

This post is in response to a 1 star response which suggests that it doesn’t fit new fittings. I would suggest it does. For clarity the 15mm end has a tapered jaw size of 24-23.5mm while the 22mm end has a tapered jaw size of 30-31mm. The spanner is 250mm long.

Wouldn't fit the ones coming off. Wouldn't fit the ones going on. I'll measure it with the calipers later but it was a waste of £3
