Great piece of kit, used for cutting laminate flooring, kitchen kick boards, all length ways cutting of a slither
Great for diy projects, easy to set up and use. Good bit of kit.
Must buy.............. ........... ..............
Havent used it yet but seems well made buy a lot of draper tools always good quility and give good service
Clean straight cuts everytime
I bought this for a kitchen installation and I'm very impressed with the quality of the cut. I bought a finer blade for cutting the worktops. It's a great tool tool for any DIY enthusiasts out there.
No issues with the saw at all.
The tracks connect together using only a single domino and some grub screws, not ideal for alignment. Does some times cause the saw to snag on the change over so clamps are definitely required and not supplied.
Despite the track, when taking my time with the mark one eyeball, I’m getting solid straight cuts with less than 1.5mm runout.
Had it running pretty much flat out for 9hrs with no problems at all.
Fantastic Plunge Saw, accurate and well made.
Should have gone for more expensive saw ,you get what you pay for
Great product and price so easy to use
Only thing that lets it down is the rail it runs on. It catches on where the two joint.
Its not the most expensive around, and probably wouldn't last long on a site, for me it will only be used once or twice a week so Its all I need. Cuts straight, 18mm is no problem good saw for the money ( I did put a good blade on it straight from the box which always helps)
Accurate and clean cutting for a kitchen refurb job. There's a good range of blades avaiable on the toolststion website. You'll need to factor in obtaining a set of clamps as they are not supplied with the saw/guide rails. These weren't available via toolstation at the time of purchase, so had to go elsewhere. Hence 4 stars. Having looked at the reviews the lack of the required clamps seems to be the case with other maufacturers too. The dewalt ones fit fine. Usual fast and efficient service from toolstation Ashington.
Draper Plunge Saw and Rails
A good bit of kit for the price. You can pay more and get better but for my DIY use it's perfect!
Blade spins in wrong direction and the antu chippindg bar does not work
For occasional use I could not justify a more expensive saw and I was worried that I might regret paying less. I need not have worried thought as this saw proved more than adequate for my needs. The speed and accuracy of cutting using the track is superb. The supplied blade is a little coarse for fine work, so a bought a 165 x 20mm 40T blade which cut 12 mm ply little or no splintering. Assembling the track so that it is perfectly straight and does not catch the saw is fiddly, but worth the effort.
Great bit of kit , takes all the faff out of circular saw use
Its a cheap tracksaw that cuts nice and straight. The rails aren't great quality, but you could buy some more from another brand (some are compatible) and use those if you were really worried. The saw seems well enough made, 1200watt motor cuts well enough. For DIY use this is a good punt. I've had it a week and used it on some very think douglas fir and its still going strong.
