I’m a 70 year old, bought this for my camper and too work on my boat, DOES WHAT IT SAYS easy to start second pull, what more can I say ppl
We purchased the generator as we were out in our camper in overcast weather and the solar couldnt keep the batteries charged, the generator does not come with oil, which was a let down and involved more running around to purchase oil, generators we have purchased in the past usually come with oil, once the genny was up and running it was reasonably quiet, but we ran it in a hedge to reduce the noise, so after 3 days of use we are quite pleased with it, the 1kw genny weighs in at around 11kgs so is easy to put away when it is finished with. only gave it 4 stars due to the oil not being supplied.
Purchased this generator to useon the motorhome at race circuits to maintain batteries. It starts first pull and is reasonably quiet it even powered my wife's hairdryer on low setting. Ordered and was delivered the following day

Well I asked for this as a birthday present, what a load of. Ok I ran perfectly and is dead quiet BUT then it was showing issues when I let it run for about 15 minutes and it stops running....I tried it every several times within the year and it would Not run any longer than 20 minutes if I was lucky and it was the same outcome with a load on it.... Then I tried it again (hell broke loose) there was hundreds of white smoke foolding my garden oil was running out of the carburettor and the exhaust. I opened it up and it was everywhere, in the carb, exhaust, OHV, cylinder and just everywhere. Turns out the engine block was cracked as well as the dodgy auto throttle it doesn't stop there turns out there was a gouge in the cylinder.... Do Not Buy there is way better generators out there I would have rather payed double the price for one that worked
I ordered it but didn’t use it. Plus I was too late to return it. Bit of a bugger really.
Thought I’d review this for anyone that’s put off by the lack of reviews! Bought to use with our touring caravan for a long weekend without EHU, alongside the caravan gas supply. Did the job perfectly charging the leisure battery powering all lights and fridge and charging phones/gadgets/battery packs etc when needed, not too noisy and really didn’t burn through much fuel on eco mode either. Even ran my little hoover with no trouble. No good if you want to use a microwave or electric cooking devices like a teppenyaki grill etc as they are higher wattage but we just cooked on gas.
Would definitely recommend.
Generator arrived on time , but would not run , no spark at the plug . Toolstation would not not replace it or refund the cost until Draper had collected and investigated the problem ( I would like to stress it has not broken down it never worked in the first place ) now I have no generator and no refund. AVOID AVOID AVOiD Toolstation !!!
