Dorgard can be installed onto the bottom of a fire door in less than five minutes – because it’s battery-powered, there’s no need for a hard-wired connection. The fire door retainer is always listening for a continuous fire alarm of 14 seconds or more. Don’t be tempted to prop your fire door open with a makeshift door stop. It’s dangerous, as fire doors need to be closed to prevent the spread of fire and smoke.
