No more rawplugs 🚫, well these screws do a job, but i would say follow the instructions carefully as if you dont they dont work great 🧐.
It is recommended to drill a pilot hole with a 5mm drill bit to a specific depth so the screw can grip and if you dont the screw will become tight and wont fix your item to wall, also i would recommend manually screwing these into the wall because if you use a impact driver it will blow the hole out and you will have to use rawplugs this happened to me 🫤, but apart from that these screws are great and i would personally recommend them 😉 🍻
Great screws . Help to get you a good fixing when the surrounding material isn’t that good .
These things are brilliant! Drill a pilot hole at 4.5 or 5mm in masonry and they'll bite nicely. 4mm is too small. Make sure you use a good quality matched driver or the head will strip.
If they were a lot cheaper I'd stock the van up and forget carrying plugs!
Excellent product at a great price for the performance
I used these to screw brackets onto concrete flagstones. I took the advice of another poster and drilled a 4mm pilot hole but this wrecked the head when I tried to screw it in because it is too small, so I used 5mm like it says on the box and that seems to be OK. Make sure you use a snug-fitting Philips tip to screw it in with -- if you are like me, you will have a set of cross-head tips of various sizes and angles so pick the right one because once it starts to slip this will also wreck the head and you will have to chuck it and use another. I used a hand driver not a power one. So time will tell how secure it is!
Great De Walt Product screws directly into all sorts of materials without plastic plugs
good for fixing light stuff to the wall
OK, but probably should have got a hex head, took the white coat off a few then had to take them out, not easy.
Use these with d line safety clips within 25mm trunking. Pilot a 4mm hole in masonry and concrete then screw in or screw directly into plasterboard or wood. Expensive but vital product to meet fire regs for internal cabling.
First time have used these
Amazing
Pulls in tight with the correct size pilot hole
Found they secured a large panel without using rawl plugs, into render. Great produce.
Excellent time saving when time is money
Really good grip in solid walls,
They’re rubbish, just use rawlplugs
Great Iran but you need to drill a pilot hole first
