I bought this to replace an ageing cheap Titan sander and this is just great. Quieter, less vibration, much lighter, and easily controllable. Using this while building a cedar strip kayak and the finish so far is excellent! Nice long cord too.
I’ve used many sanders over the years, but the DeWalt DWE6423-GB is in a different league. It’s powerful, smooth, and surprisingly quiet for its strength. The variable speed gives great control whether I’m finishing wood or taking off paint, and it leaves a flawless surface every time. The dust extraction works brilliantly too — far cleaner than most others I’ve tried. It feels solid, perfectly balanced in the hand, and clearly built to last.
Toolfinder delivered fast and well-packed, and their price was excellent. I honestly couldn’t fault the tool or the service — top marks all round!

I've used this sander on a number of furniture projects for a sustained period of time. Its great quality, comfortable to use and the adjustable speed settings work well. It does everything I would expect it to do.

Good dust extraction even without connecting to a hoover
Used this to sand edges of my wooden floor where the big belt sander couldn’t get. It worked great and the dust bag was very effective. This is my go to sander now.

Brought to sand a planter I’d built using cls timber, sadly didn’t come with a sanding disc, which is listed in the box contents, written in the instructions. However once I’d brought some and attached with the usual Velcro. It sanded beautifully! Not too much vibration which is nice and the lockable sand bag collected the sawdust really well. Nice price too!

Well balanced. Can change speed dial inadvertently whilst using in palm grip. Dust catcher helpful but need to empty often.
Pretty good random orbit sander. Bought to replace an old Makita. Seems to do the job well enough. Extraction is on a par with the Makita. Attachment is for the dewalt airlock hose but fits my standard flex adapter just fine. At sale price, represents good value. Cable had been wound very tight in the box which left it very kinked and prone to catching, which was a bit annoying.

Does a good sanding job, but dust collection lets it down. This is via a small bag which is supposed to lock on by twisting, The trouble is it doesn't lock and soon falls off, leaving you with very dusty trousers.
Bought the 240v version because my son had 'borrowed' my cordless batteries.
I wasn't disappointed and was impressed by the sander. It was comfortable to use and had well enough power to sand pencil marks, filler and small indentations on a workbench approximately 6m2.
I had plenty of sanding sheets so I avoided the disappointment of expecting to use it straight from the box as there were sanding sheets included with it.
Bought the DeWalt sander to replace a very old Bosch. Excellent choice and could only find it available for collection at Toolstation when I required it quickly. Great service again!
