Handy and quite light but woud benefit from a bit more power. Several times it stopped in the middle of drilling, but would continue when restarted. Basically saying - this is too hard work... So it won't replace my mains drill...

I needed a new corded drill to replace my existing Bosch drill that is fading fast. I was looking at a like for like replacement but then spotted this bargain on a black Friday deal at Toolstation. Down to same price as the Bosch, it would have been very silly not to snap it up. I have Dewalt cordless but need a corded one for extra power on masonary work.
Didn't think I would be able to afford a Dewalt at this moment of time so very happy to have the chance to have one in my kit.

Excellent drill and with more than enough power to get precision holes into thick masonry walls on a old house. Got deWalt drill bits too. This seems to me to be perfect if: (a) you want an electric drill with a chuck key, for extra torque as you tighten the chuck, (b) a good length of lead to reduce the occasions you need an extension lead, (c) a compact drill and case and (d) a very reliable piece of kit.
Drill has worked well, easy to use and lightweight. Used to drill into concrete and wood.
Much better than battery operated. I would not have bought this if it wasn’t on sale at the time. Will do the job way better than my former drill which motor blew.
