You really should be picking up the receiver along with this if you are going to be using it outside. handy piece of kit for checking that you are working in the right direction.
Excellent tool for 3 way laser lines at a fair price. Easy to set up, will safely magnetise to metal stud securely and has a bracket with a metal plate where no metal surfaces are available. A great addition to a tool kit.
I have the red beam version of this and now the green the green is so much easier to see and the fine adjust wheel make it so easy to use a great all round laser and reasonably priced
Got few jobs lined up, new kitchen, large raised deck, so thought I'd invest in this laser level, went with the more expensive 3 green line option on the basis I'll be using it outside to layout the deck sub structure. Not used in anger yet, but tested inside it works perfectly so kitchen will be fine, but outside the lines cant reach much beyond about half a meter on a farely dull day. I tried it out early evening time to do some initial layout and that was fine but will be pretty impractical to layout the entire deck only after 7pm! This wasnt the cheapest 3 line option out so was expecting better but if you need a 3 line laser for outdoor work you probably need to go to one of the higher end models which my budget couldnt stretch to. Apart from this it a pretty chunky well built bit of kit which will hopefully be a great help for all the indoor jobs. I might try swapping out the batteries that come with it for some new branded ones and see if that helps!
