I bought this for use with my Dewalt laser level, to replace an old photography tripod I'd been using. I was really disappointed with the quality. It has a very "cheap and nasty" feel to it; it's lightweight, the plastic is thin and feels brittle, though I haven't dropped it yet to find out. There are spirit levels on the base and the rotating head sections but I noticed that if you set the base level then raise the head to the required height and set that level, as you rotate the head it goes out of level. So if I wanted to project a line at the same height around a room I couldn't rely on this tool to do that.

Very nice tripod, the usual Dewalt quality. Great adjustment range, and makes a perfect companion to the laser level.
This is a very handy addition to the laser level and a big step up from my old tripod. It is very easy to set up and make minute adjustments, and comes with its own case. I believe the thread is the same as many other brands of laser level so would be an excellent upgrade for most brands. I would highly recommend this tripod.

Bought this to use with the laser level. The teeth on the vertical lift started breaking on only its 2nd outing. Don’t bother with this.
