It's a very good machine, I've used it, it's better than electric if you don't have access to electrics, I have it, I would recommend it to you.
I tried one of these at a Dewalt demo but was disappointed. With the battery on (not shown in the pics) it’s very unbalanced to the back. A 1/4 sheet palm sander needs the centre of gravity bang down the middle for even sanding which this doesn’t. I ended up with a mains equivalent Dewalt for a 1/2 the price and it’s excellent.
This is an excellent machine for its price. It sands well and keeps dust to a minimum with an easy to clean bag. I like that you can use ordinary sandpaper although have to take care to cut it to size.

Very nice little sander and works brilliantly with the mesh pads - especially when hooked up to a dust extractor. I've not tried it yet with regular sandpaper.

I am very pleased to have purchased this quality sander. With the variable speed control, the performance of this sander is outstanding. Being a bare unit with added battery, makes it so much more precise when in use. Dewalt is Dewalt as we all know, but this product is an absolute must for those in the know.
The sander is easy to use. It comes with a device for making holes in sanding sheets to fit the sander. This means cheaper replacement to fit.
