Bought this to replace a very old Black and Decker. So glad I did. It's heavy enough to hold the cut line and doesn't drift. The blade speed means a quick, clean cut. Came into it's own when I had to cut some plywood boards into half in a car park. Very happy with purchase.
This replaced a mains powered jigsaw with was out of alignment. The battery does make it quite heavy. On the plus side, the speed control is excellent, from really slow to fast. My only other criticism is that if you push too hard, the blade has a tendency to fall out. This might be a safety design. Also lack of case is a problem as I haven't found one to buy separately.

Very good jigsaw. Durable and cuts square and accurately. I have been using one like this for many years and wouldn’t use any other jigsaw.
Last time I bought a jigsaw was over 30 years ago. Why did I Walt so long. Great bit of kit, finger trigger speed control is a dream. Installing battery is so effortless. Put the blade in is very straight forward. Only had it a few days so not had chance to put it through its paces yet. But impressed so far.
Great helpful staff ... wanted a Jigsaw that fitted the same batteries as my DeWalt drill, purchased a few months ago...Perfect fit!...game on.

Fantastic jigsaw just what i needed so easy to insert the blade without the need for an allen key such a great idea. Powerful unit but i have only got a 2.0 Ah battery and it eats these up in no time ( i have just ordered the 5.0 Ah ) Love the switch great control feature

Solid product as expected. Great balance of life and weight and handling with 4ah Battery. The plunge technique with right blade is a huge time saver when hole cutting.
Plenty of power to complete many tasks, effortless blade changing, adjustable baseplate to cut varied angles. Well built and rugged construction.
Can't fault DeWalt, had them for years and they just keep on going.
Very impressed- I previously had a not inexpensive corded saw - not DeWalt - and it was next to useless. Wouldn’t cut at a straight angle not matter the thickness. This DeWalt has surprised me as it is superb. Cuts up to 25mm easily and is easy to guide and control.
Quality, great bit of kit feels sturdy a d robust and cuts really well with DeWalt blades.
