Brilliant little drill. I travel a lot into mainland Europe so have to pack my tools sparingly. This means I can use small 12v batteries instead of the larger 18v and the drill has a far small footprint and weight. I take this and the older 10.8v impact with me and does the job for service jobs and small installation works.

Super tool! It's small but powerful.
Used once and trigger switch broke. Would only work if trigger was pressed no more than 50% of the way in. Then had a farce trying to get a replacement sent out at the same time the faulty one was collected to save them multiple trips. Toolstation refused so after 2 weeks I finally took it back to swap at a local store only to find out it was now out of stock. So, Ill never know if it was any good.

Great bit of kit, powerful but lightweight and small, which is brilliant for getting into small spaces.
Bought this drill driver a month ago. It’s 30% lighter, 30% shorter and more powerful than my two earlier models. Additionally the charger can be wall/cupboard mounted and the smaller, lighter battery slots in securely. Excellent next day delivery as well.

I'd assigned (screw)driver duties to one of my DCD796s - so discovering this small new member of the Dewalt family was great! It's perfect as a (screw)driver - and the clutch is super-sensitive, and the steps-range is wide, and the steps are small enough.
I know you're supposed to use an impact driver for screwdriver-only duties - but I work in wood, and often need the control that comes with a drill-driver.
