Ordering and collecting so easy. Covers nicely and seems to soak in quickly.
I am rebuilding my pergola and the tanalise wood will be cut so it needs treating with the product.
Absorbs quickly into cut ends. The green pigment makes it easier to see application. Wear protective gloves
Hadn't used cut-end preserver before, this seems to have covered cut ends OK (2 coats used). I've seen professional fencing people using a wax-like substance and this was much more liquid, so it ran onto other wood a little and also formed small puddle in one place which didn't dry up - I removed puddle with paper towel. Also, I wore eye protection but, though working outside in apparently well-ventilated area, I had mild skin reaction after use (tingle around lips) despite washing hands and face after use. Lip tingle was followed later by mildly sore mouth and mildly sore throat for 2-3 days, though these cleared after that. I'd considered using mask but thought it unnecessary outdoors, also that exertion climbing ladder etc while wearing mask might make me breath in any fumes more heavily. I've got a fair bit left over, if I use it on another job later I'll probably use a mask.
Often overlooked when using treated timber structurally, this is a simple paint on treatment to ensure protection long term.
Expensive but good, easy to apply and soaks into cut edges well. 2 coats leaves a finished colour similar to green pressure treated timber.
Good quality end protection, absorbs easily, does the job without any fuss.
Great product and easy to use, covered a large area
I just used this as a general wood preserver which is handy.
Replacing worn decking and have plenty of cut ends so thus is just what I needed.
Suitably runny so that it gets right into the grain. As seen in a previous review, it isn't particularly practical to apply multiple coats so I am just giving one good application. I intend to apply non-slip paint to the finished job to protect the surfaces.
Looks good. Smells good. Maybe a bit pricey Hope it does the job. Ask me in 5 years’ time!!
Good product, nice consistency and easy to apply. Cleans up off the brush easily too.
Does what it is intended for. Not so good for planed wood. Smaller quantities would be better i.e 250ml say.
This is great stuff drugs quickly Goes on green but then says almost clear
Colour is not too green, so you can achieve your required colour by number of coats applied. Easy to apply and clean brushes afterwards
The product is easy to use and it does what it claims.
Great addition to any outdoor wood project. Even when you buy a treated timber, once you cut it you expose the part that isn't as protected as the original end. This is where this preserver comes in. It is easy to apply and last for a long time. I use it on decking, sleepers, cladding, fencing. It dries clear and coats wood in an invisible layer of protection, making any timber project last a long time.
Worth the money to protect cut ends.....................
It preserves wood. Come back in 5 years to see if it’s any good!!!
bought this to seal ends of my new decking, very easy to use covers very well very happy with product
