The old toilet seat broke so when out and got this one. Great quality and easy to fit. Ready to pick up next day. So good I have ordered one for the toilet downstairs.
The seat was easy enough to fit as the instructions cover fitting from above or below. The soft close mechanism works well although for the seat I have to move it a second time past the vertical position to make it stay there. This only takes a fraction of a second and is probably due to the old style relatively wide cistern on my toilet that only leaves minimal space past the vertical.
The closing downward mechanism works fine. On the fitting instructions it warns not to overtighten the nuts. Given it is an adjustable system for variable size hinge spacing it would be good to define this more precisely because the main risk on this type of fitting is that it might move. So far so good after 2 weeks
very necessary replacement as old one had split had it fitted on no problem
